CITY OF RULEVILLE, MISSISSIPPI 2023 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT MCWI PROJECT NO. 338-2-SW-5.6 Sealed Bids for construction of the City of Ruleville, MS, 2023 Drainage Improvement Project, Municipal and County Infrastructure Program (MCWI) Project No. 338-2-SW-5.6, will be received by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ruleville, MS at the office of the City Hall, 200 E. Floyce St., Ruleville, MS 38771, until 6:00 PM, local time on July 9, 2024, and then at said time and place publicly opened and read aloud. Bidding Documents may be examined free of charge at Eley-McPherson Engineering, PA, 306 Third Street, Cleveland, MS 38732 and at the Ruleville City Hall, 200 E. Floyce St., Ruleville, MS 38771, or participating plan rooms. Bidding Documents may be purchased at www.eleymcphersonplans.com. Plan holders will be required to have a valid email address and must purchase the Bidding Documents to be eligible to submit a Bid. Bids may be submitted in person or by mail. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and plainly marked on the outside with the following: Bid for the City of Ruleville, MS, 2023 Drainage Improvement Project, Municipal and County Infrastructure Program (MCWI) Project No. 338-2-SW-5.6, to be opened on July 9, 2024 and addressed to the City of Ruleville, MS, 200 E. Floyce St., Ruleville, MS 38771. In addition, the envelope shall list the Bidder’s Company Name, address and Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility Number. The Owner and Engineer assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope which is not properly marked. Bidders must be properly licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Contractors for the type of Work required for this project. Bidders must place their current Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the envelope containing the Bid. Bids must comply with the requirements of Chapter 3, Title 31 (Sections 31-3-1, et seq.) of Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, which shall be in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Each Bid must also be accompanied by proof of the Bidder's registration with the U.S. Government's System for Award Management (SAM) by providing its Unique Entity ID (UEI) number. The successful Bidder will also be required to execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract, issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. Minority and women’s business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, materials, or supply needs.
